Book Recommendations to Celebrate Pride Month!

Hi Readers! Happy Pride Month to you all! I have never really known anyone who belongs to this glorious community, but I have read a lot of books & watched a lot of TV with brilliant characters. I have adored Calliope Torres on Grey’s Anatomy. I have felt so much empathy for Jude St. Francis from A Little Life. I have found hope in Celia from The Color Purple. I have never loved a character more than David Rose from Schitt’s Creek. The way all these people brought themselves to the character & made it even more wonderful is truly a celebration! And, even though these are fictional, there are people who have experienced a fraction of the fantasy story & had a whole lot of themselves to give to all the people they love. Happy Pride!

On this occasion, I thought of sharing some book recommendations. These are books with LGBTQIA+ representation. I feel like I am always reading books which have LGBTQIA+ characters, but now that I look back on the books, I have found only a handful on my bookshelf. I have made a note of this & plan to read more books with these characters in my next year’s reading challenge! So, this year, I am going to tell you all the amazing books you can read which I have also read or are on my TBR. And, then I will also tell you all the amazing books you can read which I am also yet to read!
