June Book Haul!

Hi Readers! The lockdown is finally lifted where I live, which meant that I could finally order books after a good 3 months! This was a tricky task this time. My birthday was in March & I had given my friends a list of 15 books from which they could gift me. This list had some amazing books which I had wanted to read since a long time. But, my birthday was also the day of the first day of lockdown. So, I don’t have my birthday book gifts yet & my friends won’t tell me which ones they have bought. I had to ignore those 15 & order some books which were a bit lower on my TBR. But, now that these books are finally here, they have climbed to the top of my TBR! 

~~THRILLERS~~ 

As per my 2021 Reading Challenge, I had planned to read 10 thrillers this year. I have already 4, of which I only loved one – The Thursday Murder Club. Anyway, that means I have 6 more thrillers to read. Because of the fast-paced story, I tend to finish them a lot faster than other books. This is why I ordered these 4 books to get ahead on the challenge!

~~YOUNG ADULT FICTION~~ 

I have already read 3 books in this category & the plan is to read 5. But these three books are the ones I have really wanted to read for a long time. I already started reading Firekeeper’s Daughter & I am loving it so far! And, look how pretty the Six of Crows duology books are! How can anyone not read them?

~~FANTASY FICTION~~ 

Fantasy books target is also five, and I have only read one which was fantastic – The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. I have already read The Lost Apothecary, but since I loved it so much, I had to have a copy of it. It’s a bit of historical fiction & fantasy. Under my Reading Challenge, I have marked it under Historical Fiction. Another brilliant novel which everyone is talking about is The House in the Cerulean Sea, which is also something I am looking forward to read.
