October 2024 Wrapup!

Hello hello Readers! It has been a while! But, don’t worry I am not depriving you of my October happenings. I barely read this month, but I did a lot of fun stuff. And, I think that’s the only reason I am writing this post. I somehow read ONE BOOK across a meagre 176 pages, which I didn’t even end up liking that much. So, this wrapup post is going to be short!

~~BOOK~~

~~GOODNIGHT TOKYO by ATSUHIRO YOSHIDA, TRANSLATED by HADYN TROWELL~~

You all know how much I love translated fiction, especially Japanese, so I had high expectations that Good night Tokyo will bring me out of my slump. I think it might have brought me out of the slump, but I will be realistic and say that only time will tell. Anyway, Good night Tokyo is a book of serial short stories, as the author prefers to call them. To me, it felt neither like short stories not a novel. It was something in between, which left me in a state of confusion most of the time. I loved the concept of having interrelated short stories that form a novel, but I felt like it missed the charm of short stories and the depth of a novel.

We have several characters across the 12 chapters, and we never really know where they will meet each other. And, by the time they reappear, I had forgotten about their original story. So, a loop of this across the 176 pages made it a bit of an annoying reading experience for me. I have rated Good night Tokyo by Atsuhiro Yoshida, translated by Hadyn Trowell at 2/5 stars!

~~STATISTICS~~

Not much to show in terms of reading statistics as there’s just one short book. But you can enjoy what I watched and listened to during the month!

~~LIFE LATELY~~

I had outdoor plans for most of the month, so here’s the most fun part of the October wrapup!

Slide 1: Low-key Navratri celebrations.

Slide 2 to 4: Paradox Museum at Mumbai with Suruchi!

Slide 5: Desserts!

Slide 6 to 10: The Lil Flea with besties!

Slide 11: Dopamine

Slide 12: Consistency. 50+ days of continuously working out.

Until next time,
