December 2024 Wrapup!
Hi Readers! Here we are at the end of the year already! December has been the best month, full of family, reflections, and a good kind of busy to it. Anyway, all of this will be more in the 2024 Year in Review posts! As of this month, I read 4 books across 1038 pages in December!
~~BOOKS~~
~~The Official Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Book~~
I have been a Swiftie for over a decade. I know every song, every lyric, every tour, every outfit and basically anything about Taylor Swift that’s in the public domain. So, when my brother was coming home from US a week after this book was published, I asked (forced) him to get it for me. It has all these amazing photos from the Eras Tour and a few behind the scenes photos, some lyrics, and some words from the tour. My view is entirely biased. So, naturally I have rated The Official Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Book by Taylor Swift at 5/5 stars!
~~You Will Never Be Me by Jesse Q. Sutanto~~
I have read three books by Jesse Q. Sutanto, all of which were cozy mysteries. She introduced me to this genre, and I really loved reading those books. But, You Will Never Be Me
is different. It’s a gripping story revolving around the life of Influencers. It reminded me a little of this Korean Drama Celebrity. While it wasn’t cozy, it was interesting if predictable. I have rated You Will Never Be Me by Jesse Q. Sutanto at 3/5 stars!
~~Bone by Yrsa Daley-Ward~~
The last two books I read for the year were of course shorter ones, because I wanted to complete 50 books for the year. Bone is a poetry collection which was intense, reflective and really thought provoking. I have rated Bone by Yrsa Daley-Ward at 4/5 stars!
~~The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang~~
The last read of the year was a graphic novel, and what a beautiful one it was. I loved the artwork, the very sweet story and gender representation. I have rated The Prince and the Dressmaker by Jen Wang at 3.5/5 stars!
~~STATS~~
~~LIFE LATELY~~
My brother Ashwin is back home after 2.5 years, so it’s a grand one, with meeting everyone in the family, making his favourite foods, playing Badminton with cousins, going on a short trip and more! Another highlight was that I completed 100 days of continuously working out!!
I will be back in a few days with the Year in Review posts! Until next time,
