March 2025 Recap!

Hi Readers! Birthday month is finally over, but it was fabulous (mostly!) I took a nice short break at the beginning of the month to be with my friends and de-stress. I also got to live alone for about a week, so yay independent woman! I ate delicious food. I did a lot of shopping. My family and friends gave me amazing gifts – Headphones for my walks, a graphic novel, a suitcase, pretty dresses, yoga mat, kettle bell, cakes & flowers! I feel SO lucky, grateful, and happy to have these amazing people in my life! 🧿 The month took a tumultuous turn towards the end and I felt a lot of feelings, but at the end of it I got clarity on next steps. The last four days were a complete brain reset to help me find me, and that helped so so wonderfully. ❤️❤️❤️
As always, let’s start with reading!
~~BOOKS~~
I read TWO BOOKS across 319 PAGES in MARCH! One wonderful thing was that I was reading throughout the month which made me happy and left a lot of scope for introspection. This is because I was reading The Poetry Pharmacy for majority of the month. It’s literally titled as ‘Tried-and-True Prescriptions for the Mind, Heart and Soul’, so it had to do a number on me. I got a lot from this book, and it will be something I will always go back to re-read. The second book was Strange Pictures by Uketsu, which I finished in one day. I think most people who have read this book would have finished it in one sitting, because you just can’t stop! Needless to say, I rated both the books at five stars! Reviews for both the books will be up on the blog very soon! You should read both of them!
~~STATS AND MORE~~
Since I am generally reading less, I’m always reading from my physical TBR. I’m also picking shorter books, because I picked 4 thick books and left them all one tenth of the way in. But, I’m glad I loved both the books that I read in March!
~~LIFE LATELY~~
Slide 1: Two achievements this month!! I walked my first 10K! I did this on my birthday as a little non-guilty treat, and oh will I be proud of this for a long time!! And the second was completing 200 days of Daily Workouts!
Slide 2-5: Amazing, chill, wholesome time spent with my besties Mindy & Poonam! We cooked together, drank soju together, walked & did strength training together, travelled together, made reels together, played dumb charades together, painted together, laughed A LOT together & had the most lovely sisterhood bonding days together!
Slide 6: While I was painting the clay pot, I realized my mind was on pause. No overthinking. No anxiety. Nothing. So, I again painted on a small canvas on my birthday. It really has become my mindfulness activity whenever I am overwhelmed.
Slide 7 & 8: Happy family video calls. Also went South Indian café hopping in Matunga with my brother Suraaj & my sis in law Janhavi! We had Thatte Idli & Neer Dosa at Madras Café, then we had Mysore Dosa at Mysore Café. We browsed at a few roadside book stalls. Met my uncle who bought us mini donuts! We then drove to Marine Drive via the Coastal Road. Had K Rustom’s ice cream sandwich, sat at seafront at 12 PM heat and then finally headed back. Fun fun day!!
Slide 8-10: Food diaries! I forgot to click a good picture of the yummy macaroons which my friend Sadhana sent to me on my birthday!
So, that was March! I decided to keep a theme for each month. It was Artsy January, Fitness February and my month was Self-Care March!
Until next time,
