July 2025 Recap!

Hi Readers! July was GLORIOUS! The major reason for this was obviously Goa vacation. And, in addition, I was able to embrace the rains rather than being constantly worried if it will rain when I’m enroute office. And yes, office life has been hectic per usual. But, one amazing thing happened. I was supposed to conduct a virtual learning session for 140+ people. Every time I have done this before, I followed a script and made my tone to make it as impromptu as possible. But, I don’t know what took me over this time. My presentation was not made until the day before. Somehow I have convinced myself that I was done with scripts. So, I went with the flow! NO jitters like before. NO imposter syndrome. NO backouts. It was an invincible feeling, and I truly hope it happens every time I have to conduct these sessions, whether virtually or in person. Okay, I didn’t mean to rant starting off, but here we are. Let’s look at the rest of the month!
~~BOOKS~~
I read 2 BOOKS across 518 PAGES in JULY. One fiction, and another graphic novel. The list of books I want to read increases every day, but my ability to conquer my TBR weakens with every day. Anyway, I’ve accepted it because the entire year has been like that. So, here we are with two good books read this month!
~~ATMOSPHERE by TAYLOR JENKINS REID~~
A love story set at NASA in 1980s with a woman lead astronaut? A setting so fragile with peak uncertainty over the very existence of characters? Set during a time where being the first women in the space was revolutionary? A story with immense scope of political, emotional, mental and physical complications? And getting to explore the gloriousness of all of this through Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing? Obviously, Atmosphere was one of my most awaited reads of 2025. And, as it usually goes with high expectations, you end up disappointed. Especially given the potential the story had, I felt like it didn’t measure up. I have rated Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid at 3/5 stars!
~~QUIET GIRL IN A NOISY WORLD by DEBBIE TUNG~~
In all honestly, I only read a graphic novel during the last week of the month to have two books read during the month instead of just the one. But, it’s always a good decision to pick up a graphic novel, because they NEVER disappoint. I had wanted to read Quiet Girl in a Noisy World since a month or so, because it basically describes me. And, it did! The entire book was SO RELATABLE. If you’re an introvert, or have an INFJ personality, or love books, you will love this book. I have rated Quiet Girl in a Noisy World by Debbie Tung at 4/5 stars! Really looking forward to read and look at her other graphic novels!
~~STATS AND MORE~~
~~LIFE LATELY~~
Slide 5: I have had a few misses, many boring workout and minimal walking sessions this month. I’m participating in a marathon next month, so I seriously need to start with a strong workout routine!
Slide 6: Went to Powai with my parents for dinner. As usual, we didn’t like what we ordered. LOL. Somehow whenever I go to Chili’s with them, it turns out to be a disaster. Also, my brother in another country enjoying life as well!
Slide 7: Met my ex-boss-turned-friend and her very very very cute baby daughter in Goa!
Slide 8 to 14: Goa, baby!!!
Slide 15: Cats of Goa
Slide 16: I refuse to ‘practice’ painting and hope for a masterpiece and every time I am humbled. LOL. But, even though far from perfect, I like this ocean waves painting. The favourite kind of blues.
Slide 17: Two of my friends at work have gotten very seriously into crafts. Genevieve is into origami & a heart shaped bookmark is waiting for me from her! And, Suchi is into crochet. She made this GORGEOUS bookmark for me. I mean, puppy dog eyes!
Slide 18: Enjoying Goa monsoons, and refusing to accept that it’s considered the off-season. No, ma’am! 😊heart eyes.
No clue what August has in store. But I’ve gotten an unheard and unfelt of before optimism in me. Let’s see where it takes us.
Until next time,
