11th Blogoversary!!

Hi Readers,
After blogging and writing for 11 years, you would think that a post like this would come easily to me. So many ways to go about it too, isn’t it? I could talk about the 11 lessons I learnt throughout my journey. I could share 11 book recommendations. I could share 11 quotes from my favorite books, or 11 underrated authors, or 11 wonderful dedications. And yet, every time I start to write about any of it, I feel like this isn’t IT. This isn’t what I want to write about for the 11th blogoversary. It somehow feels superficial, or too made up, or just such a cliché. Afterall, it has been 11 years, with over 550 books read, 650 posts written, 550000+ views, 1200 followers. And at the center of it all, it’s always just me following my heart. Reading what I love. And writing what I loved.
After 11 years, I’m finally not chasing. No more reading goals of 80 books a year. No more SEO craze to land on Google Search First Page. No more posting 3 days a week. No more staying constantly active on bookstagram. No more chasing, because now I feel settled. Comfortable. For me, reading is a hobby; not work. It is a privilege, not an item on the to-do list. It’s comfort. So, it shouldn’t have targets and deadlines. I read to feel things and then I write to express those feelings. That’s all it was about 11 years ago when I started, as it is now.
The only difference in all these years, is all of you. I started with handful of followers all of whom included my parents, brother, immediate family and friends. And now, look at where you have taken this blog! I cannot thank all of you readers who have chosen Mindscape in Words time and again. And, thank you so much to my wholesome community of readers and reviewers on Bookstagram. Reading is a solitary activity for me. But, knowing we have loved the same books is the cherry on top of a well settled cake. Thank you for 11. I will see you next year, and the year after and so on and so forth. ❤️❤️🧿
Until next time,
