September 2025 Recap!

Hi Readers!
Have to wake up as September ends. But, if this month was any indication of a dream, I’d rather keep sleeping for five more minutes!! What an amazing month this was, sans the first 10 days which were insane. But also, maybe because I spent those first 10 days being in despair, sadness, stress and anxiety, with an end after the 10th September, I was able to live my life in a more grand and fuller way than usual.
I went solo art gallery hopping, which was probably one of the best days I’ve had this year! Met my relatives and most of my cousins during Navratri, and meeting them instantly means constant laughter and fun. Had multiple occasions to cook as well. Celebrated 11 years of Mindscape in Words! Made and shipped Harry Potter paintings to my brother for his birthday, which he loved. And, after 8 years, we had a Bramha Kamal bloom! What a fascinating ride September has been, which is why I say, five more minutes!
~~BOOKS~~
I read ONE BOOK across 208 PAGES in September! This was Strange Houses by Uketsu, which I was looking forward to read for the longest time! I also read a few more books, Katabasis by R.F. Kuang and The Healing Hippo of Hinode Park by Michiko Aoyama. I am still reading them, and will take some time till I finish them.
~~STRANGE HOUSES by UKETSU, TRANSLATED by JIM RION~~
I read Uketsu’s first novel Strange Pictures earlier this year, and was mind blown. So, when Strange Houses was delivered, I read it right away. I loved the blueprints of the houses and finding out about the problems in these strange houses. But, overall the story didn’t reach as with the previous book. I have still rated Strange Houses by Uketsu, translated by Jim Rion at 4/5 stars! Review will be up soon.
~~STATS & MORE~~
~~LIFE LATELY~~
Slide 1: I seriously started working out and kept at it consistently for ONE YEAR! There were a few breaks here and there, but I always got back to it and kept walking, doing yoga and lifting weights!
Slide 2: Mindscape in Words is now 11 years old! Woohoo! My family and office friends celebrated with me.
Slide 3: Painting is another hobby I have taken up. When I was thinking what to gift my brother, I got this idea to create Harry, Ron and Hermione’s faces on these circle canvases. I sent it to him and he loved them.
Slide 4 to 8: Solo art gallery hopping which was a super fun day. Went to 6 galleries, had lunch by myself, sat and looked at Marine Drive. 😎
Slide 9: Always a FUN time with this lot I call family.
Slide 10: Whenever I make Sunday dinners, I always love to experiment. And this Mediterranean Hummus Bowl was a HIT with my parents. It was just soooo gooood! Also, made Pesto Pasta, which at this point, is my lazy-recipe.
Slide 11: Some scenes from the day in Fort & Colaba.
Slide 12: My mom had planted a leaf 8 years ago, so the Bramha Kamal blooming was such an immensely happy moment for us all! I basically set a 12 AM alarm every night for 5 days until the night it finally bloomed!! 🥹🥹
Slide 13: 🙃
Slide 14: My artist-mode outfit. 💁🏻♀️
Until next time,
