Hi Readers! You all know that July was not my best reading month. It was not a good month in any way, for that matter. But, it somehow redeemed itself towards the end. I read THREE books across 1036 PAGES in July.<\/strong><\/mark> For the longest time, I thought it would only be one book, but somehow I ended up reading three, which I think is the biggest accomplishment. I liked only one book of the three. The other two are one stars, so you can imagine how brutal my reading was in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~~A SPOOL OF BLUE THREAD by ANNE TYLER~~<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It took me over two months to read through this book. I finally finished it in the early days of July. Evern since then I was in a reading slump. So, not only did this book was dreadful while I was reading it for two months, but also for dreadful for another month. I choose not to spend more time talking about it. I rated A Spool of Blue Thread by Anne Tyler at 1\/5 stars!<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

~~BIG SWISS by JEN BEAGIN~~<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Big Swiss was among the five other books I randomly decided to pick up and read. I quite enjoyed it initially, but then it became boring very quickly. The theme of \u2018unhinged white women\u2019 is an idea which I really love. But, very few books actually compare or deliver on it. Halfway through the book, I realized it wasn\u2019t for me. But, because I did read it halfway, I decided to add it in my Read list. I rated Big Swiss by Jen Beagin at 1\/5 stars!<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n

~~DIAL A FOR AUNTIES by JESSE Q. SUTANTO~~<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is the book that I finished in three days and became the reading highlight of the month. I had read and loved Jesse Q. Sutanto\u2019s \u2018Vera Wong\u2019s Unsolicited Advice for Murderers\u2019, so I was acquainted with the author\u2019s writing style. This one was light and charming, just like its characters and the plot. I was drawn to the story and couldn\u2019t stop reading it. The complexity of the plot did become a bit much about 60% in, but I suppose every book has its ups and downs. This was definitely a super fun read and would recommend you to read it if you are in a reading slump. I rated Dial A for Aunties by Jesse Q. Sutanto at 4\/5 stars!<\/strong><\/mark><\/p>\n\n\n\n
