Hi Readers! It had been a while since I had read a graphic novel, so I decided to read \u2018Seek You\u2019 based on reviews and recommendations. I loved how the Goodreads blurb talked about the book, but unfortunately I wasn\u2019t able to find that nuance or meaning when I read the book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

~~THE JOURNEY~~<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The book is divided into five parts. The first one titled \u2018Listen\u2019<\/strong><\/mark> is all about listening.. to the radio, the fake laugh tracks, the subway car full of lonely people, news about lonely people and listening to the silence. All these narratives are described through technology, art and media<\/mark><\/strong> and the artwork has a green-colored theme<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second part titled \u2018Watch\u2019<\/mark><\/strong> is all about watching.. celebrities in the media, coverage of shootings, gun violence and politics. These narratives are described through individuality, gender identity and patriarchy with an orange-colored artwork.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part three \u2018Click\u2019<\/mark><\/strong> as the name suggests has its narrative in technology<\/mark><\/strong>. It\u2019s how loneliness has a connection with phenomenons like chatrooms, filtered selfies, live tweeting a tragedy and cancel culture. All of it aptly in blue-colored artwork<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Part four \u2018Touch\u2019<\/mark><\/strong> talks mainly about gender discrimination and its results in the form of loneliness<\/mark><\/strong>. The portrayal of lonely women in movies\/books written in a stereotypical way is something I found to be accurate. The artwork is brown-colored<\/mark><\/strong>, perhaps a mirror to the filth that society has become.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And, lastly, part five is again titled \u2018Listen\u2019<\/mark><\/strong>, but unlike the earlier parts, this is about introspection and listening to yourself<\/mark><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
