If one thing tops the list, it is the amount of learning I had in 2022. Be it personally, professionally, with family & friends, with hobbies, with health, with money and just with life. I did not want to write this post in my usual way, neither do I want to make it sentimental. So, I am just going to list down some of the things that I learnt this year.

I learnt how to be patient; with myself, with people, with situations, with emotions.

I learnt how to be grateful with what you have got.

I learnt how to fight for myself and grow despite setbacks.

I learnt to be somewhat of a decent lead to three team members.

I learnt how to go above and beyond at work while keeping a work-life balance.

I learnt what my next steps should be for 2023; in terms of finances, investments and more.

I learnt what my body is capable of, what it can take, what it cannot take. And, I learnt to work out based on that.

I learnt what my mind is capable of, what it can take, what it cannot take. And, I learnt to manage it when it cannot take.

I learnt how to leave work at work.

I learnt the importance of family and close friendships.

I learnt that just because some thing gives me pure unadulterated happiness, does not mean that it is necessarily good for you.

I learnt how to be a good member of the bookstagram community. How it is more give and less take.

I learnt how to live without a person (my brother) with whom I shared a room for over 23 years.

I learnt that age is just a number and there is no such thing as an ideal time to do anything.

Having said that, there is still so much more that I want to learn. We are all a work in progress, so there are always going to be areas for improvement. So, here are a few of the things that I want to learn.

I want to learn how to do a hobby like reading without getting stressed about it.

I want to learn how to be an excellent leader.

I want to learn so much more about my body and my mind.

I want to learn how to not care if my content gets low views or likes after putting so much work into it.

I want to learn the intricacies of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging.

I want to learn to have bold and opinionated discussions with anyone.

I want to learn how to not take miniscule things to heart.

I want to learn to trust in fate, destiny, serendipity.

Everyone says that they are different from the crowd. And, I’m sure everyone believes it too. I believe I am different and unique from everyone else too. I may not have found myself yet, but I know I am on my way. And, these learnings day in and day out are helping me to be a better version of myself. I have to believe that I will be the person who I envision to be in two years. I want to learn how to believe in that too. Because, it’s today and it’s tomorrow and then suddenly it’s five years. That’s why I want to make the todays and tomorrows count so that when I look back in five years, I will know I did something worthwhile.

I hope you do too. Happy Holidays and a very Happy New Year to all you lovely readers! Let’s make each day of 365 count!

Until next time,
