Top 8 Highlights of 2025 – Year in Review (Part 4)

Hi Readers! Welcome to Top 8 Highlights of 2025 – Year in Review (Part 4)!! And, this is the final post of the 2025 Year in Review series. Every year, the fourth post in the series includes the top lessons of the year. So, this year, I thought I should change it up. And, what could be more joyful than looking back at the best moments of the year?

~~ED SHEERAN CONCERT: THE MATHEMATICS TOUR~~

I have been listening to Ed Sheeran’s songs for over a decade. He is always in my Top 5 artists on Spotify Wrapped. So, when in December he announced his India tour, I decided to go to his concert in Pune. Now, the last concert I have attended was ten years ago. And, it was also Ed Sheeran’s first concert in India. It seemed like a nice full circle kind of moment.

I think concerts change your brain chemistry. When you are at the event, you stand for 2+ hours alongside thousands of strangers singing lyrics to some of the most intimate songs written. And then when the concert is over, you still stay in that zone emotionally. It’s so hard to get over it.  I kept going back to that night. And, all of it is just happening in really deep feelings. There are no thoughts going around in the head whenever you think of that night.. it’s just smiles, happiness, and vibes. But, the intensity of these very intangible wordless little things is so strong that it’s impossible to focus on anything else. I had the most amazing time, and this will be something I will come back to a lot. <3

~~SHREYA GHOSHAL CONCERT: ALL HEARTS TOUR~~

Went to Shreya Ghoshal’s All Hearts Tour – Mumbai Concert! It was my parents’ idea and since I had the time of my life at Ed Sheeran’s concert, I wanted to relive it. I don’t listen to a lot of Bollywood songs, but I did really enjoy it. And, of course, my parents loved it and enjoyed it 100 times more!

~~COMPLETED DAILY 5 KM MORNING WALK CHALLENGE IN FEB~~

My goal for February was a Daily 5 Km Morning Walk! I accomplished it!!

The first week I cursed myself for taking up this challenge. The second week I was counting down days till it will be over. The third week I felt exhausted. And, the last week, I was simply glad it was the last week! So, no redeemable lesson here. It was a lot of walking to commit to every day. Some days I walked super fast. Some days I walked quite slow. Some days I just had to drag my feet between 4.5 Km to 5 Km. But, this was my challenge and I was accountable to myself. There was never an option to not do it, nor did it cross my mind.

It’s not a sustainable activity for me to do daily, because I need to balance walking with yoga, strength training and meditation. But yes, I’m super happy and proud of myself for accomplishing this!

~~WALKED MY FIRST 10 KM ON BIRTHDAY~~

In March, I had two fitness milestones. I walked my first 10K! I did this on my birthday as a little non-guilty treat, and oh I am still so proud of this achievement!! Walking 10 kms is a lot different than running 10 kms. Both with challenges of their own. But, walking takes about 2 hours, so I was determined to complete it. And the second was completing 200 days of Daily Workouts! I love how 3 of the 8 highlights are fitness related!

~~WALKED MY FIRST 5 KM MARATHON~~

I have been working out almost consistently since a year now, with walking being a main part of it. So, I had decided to complete one marathon this year. Finally did it! Walked my first official 5 Km marathon!!

~~DAD’S BOOK WAS PUBLISHED~~

My dad published a book!!! ‘शब्द कसे हे पुरे पडावे’ (loosely translates to ‘How will words be enough?) by Ravindra Shenolikar is a collection of poems, written in Marathi language. I feel so amazed at how wonderfully he made this happen. I’m super super proud of his accomplishment.

~~COMPLETED 11 YEARS OF MINDSCAPE IN WORDS~~

I celebrated Mindscape in Words’ 11th Blogoversary!! It has been 11 years, with over 550 books read, 650 posts written, 550000+ views, 1200 followers. And at the center of it all, it’s always just me following my heart. Reading what I love. And writing what I loved. I cannot thank all of you readers who have chosen Mindscape in Words time and again. And, thank you so much to my wholesome community of readers and reviewers on Bookstagram. Reading is a solitary activity for me. But, knowing we have loved the same books is the cherry on top of a well settled cake. Thank you for 11.

~~A LOT OF TRIPS~~

The year went by very differently than what I had hoped for. I was optimistic for an international trip and a solo trip, both of which didn’t happen. But what happened instead were impromptu trips that made even stronger bonds with the people I love! I travelled six times this year! This last highlight is a compilation of all the highlights from my trips this year.

The year started with travel with a trip to Pune with Aai, Pappa & Ashwin! Yes, Ashwin was home after 3 years, so we had packed his schedule down to the minute. But, it was exactly like old times.

Then towards Jan end, I again went to Pune, and this deserved its own highlight as this trip was solely for Ed’s concert.

In March, Poonam and I went to Bangalore to stay over at Mrinalini’s home. We had such a lovely time together, as we always do! The highlight of this trip was when we went for clay painting. I found it very relaxing, calming and a perfect way to turn off my overthinking brain. Another day, we packed a basket and had a picnic in Cubbon Park. Doing this made me realize we should be doing something like this way more often!

In July, Suruchi and I went to Goa. This was an impromptu trip because none of our other plans were working out and we both really needed a break from work. This was mad fun as it was monsoon season. The best part was the day we drove around on a scooty all day!

In August, we had a very big family get-together in Lonavala. From planning to execution, there were a lot of things that could go wrong, but very few did. All in all, we enjoyed A LOT! It was such an amazing bonding experience with all my cousins!

In November, I went to Guhagar and Dapoli with my parents. It’s always very peaceful in Guhagar. And, in Dapoli, it was under sad circumstances, but it was good to see all my relatives.

And then finally, this month, I went Pune with my parents as a relaxing getaway!

In a nutshell, 2025 had its moments, but what’s the point of all good times, if you can’t appreciate them when there are bad times. Here’s wishing all of you a very happy new year!

Until next time,
